For the past two conventions we have raised money for charities and this year is going to be no different, so it is time to tell you who we will be raising money for this year.

earfoundation-thumbThe Ear Foundation

This amazing charity has been one of our three chosen charities for the previous two conventions and we are having them again this year.  They do loads of work to support children, adults and their families to bridge the gap between clinic-based services where hearing technologies are fitted and home, school and work where they are used in daily life.

We have witnessed first hand how their support can help as our friend’s son has two Cochlear implants and we are happy to continue supporting them for this reason.

We introduced The Marfan Trust last year as one of the charities in memory of a wonderful lady and friend. Marfan Syndrome is a disorder of the body’s connective tissue,  people affected can live with some but sadly not all of the possible symptoms/problems. The Marfan Trust helps to fund research into the syndrome, provides educational literature and provide support to those affected and their families.

A new charity for us this year but one that we believe does very important work.  They support members of the armed forces; past, present and future, and their families. they provide help with welfare, comradeship and representation.

To raise money for these awesome cause we will be giving £1 from every standard ticket sold and all money from a Charity Raffle, there will be opportunity to donate pennies through the eventbrite ticket page and on the day too! We appreciate your support and we hope to raise lots of much needed funds for these amazing charities.
