Ticket Sales

Any information given to us due to you buying tickets for our event will only be used for that purpose. We use Eventbrite for tickets sales and their Privacy Policy can be seen here

Table Bookings

Any information given to us due to you buying tickets for our event will only be used for that purpose. You will be contacted regarding your booking and information you will need for the event.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you send us a message through our contact form we may collect some data (Name, email address), we will only use that data for the purpose that you submitted it for.

Cookies

How long we retain your data

Nottingham Comic Con will not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. Your personal data will therefore be kept for the following periods (or, where there is no fixed period, the following factors will be used to determine how long it is kept):

Comments – For the life time of the website/event (The comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Tickets Sales – Names and Email Addresses for two years. Kept after the event for use in the event of dispute, refund or query

Table Bookings – Details given will be retained for two years. Kept after the event for use in the event of dispute, refund or query

Newsletters/Email Mailings – Emails

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can request to see, edit, or have deleted their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
